A small church with a big love for Jesus.

For over 45 years, we've been a humble family of believers in Palm Coast — gathering each week to worship Christ, study Scripture, and walk together through the joys and trials of life.

Our story

Founded in 1980. Renewed in 2020.

Central Baptist was planted in 1980 by Pastor Bill Turner — a faithful man who believed Palm Coast needed a Bible-believing, gospel-preaching church. For four decades, that small congregation gathered to worship Christ and study the Word, holding fast through every season.

In 2020, Pastor Tim Russ came to Central Baptist to help revitalize the church for a new generation. By God's grace, the doors are still open — the same gospel preached, the same Word taught, the same warm welcome extended to anyone who walks in.

Our heart is simple: preach the Word, love one another, and tell the lost about Jesus. If that's the kind of church you've been looking for, come visit.

What we value

Four things we care about deeply.

Not a brand statement. Not a mission slogan. Just the things you'll actually find when you walk in our doors and stay around for a while.

No. 01

Scripture, taught carefully.

We preach the Bible verse-by-verse, book-by-book — not topical motivation talks. Sermons are about 35–40 minutes, the same length as a long podcast. We trust that God's Word does the work. Our job is just to open it faithfully.

The gospel, every week.

Every sermon points to Jesus. Every service makes the gospel clear. Whether you've followed Christ for 50 years or you're skeptical of the whole thing, you'll hear the same news every Sunday: God saves sinners through the death and resurrection of Christ.

People, not programs.

We're small enough that the pastor knows your name. The folks sitting next to you on Sunday will check on you when you're sick, bring meals when you have a baby, and pray for you by name when life falls apart. That's the church we want to be.

Honesty over hype.

No light shows. No production. No pressure. Just honest worship, honest preaching, and honest people doing their best to follow Jesus. We'd rather be a faithful small church than a flashy big one.

Serving alongside

Serving as Co-Pastor alongside his father, Pastor Andrew partners in the preaching, teaching, and care of the Central Baptist family. A second-generation commitment to the same gospel, the same Word, and the same congregation.

Beyond Sunday morning, life at Central includes midweek Bible study, fellowship gatherings throughout the year, and a church family that walks with each other through every season.
